    "Stick to the Sky Rail"
Four of us took the Skyrail up (INCREDIBLE), and the train down after spending time in Kuranda Village and then opting to walk the trails through the jungle back to the train. We ended up disappointed that we hadn't taken the return on the Skyrail. The train was crowded, and our assigned seats had us all on one cushioned bench seat, facing another group of four, with hardly any room to stretch our legs even a little. We were unlucky to be sitting facing backwards. We thought the seating arrangement would have been better for both parties if they had seated each of us two-facing-two. Then we could have spoken to each other more easily, and stretched our legs a bit. Although that would have meant one party didn't have a window, because instead of an aisle down the middle, the aisle was on one side - the side not facing the gorge. The windows were open, which was good, but the exhaust fumes were strong the entire trip - not really what you want in a rainforest experience. The ride is long, and at least of third of the passengers were asleep by the time we were 2/3 of the way down. In any event, if you are scared of heights, you might struggle either way, but the train will be better. Otherwise, stick to the Skyrail. It's exciting, the views are unbeatable and non-stop, and you definitely won't fall asleep or have fumes to endure. You might have to ride with another group, if you have less than four in yours. It depends on how busy they are.

Today my husband & I went on tours to Kuranda , via Train then sky cable back & then to Hartleys crocodile farm, we used GTS and were very impressed with the service, our tour guide Tommy, was absolutely awesome from the beginning, picking us up from our Hotel, until he dropped us back after our adventure, Tommy was very friendly & was a fountain of knowledge. We definitely recommend this tour company to anyone wanting an awesome experience. A Big Thanks again to Tommy! Cheers

    "Kuranda Day"
I took the day tour to Kuranda which included the train up and the skyrail back down. With this, you have approximately 2 - 2.5 hours to spend in Kuranda. Stu, our driver to and from the pick up /off points was incredibly experienced and professional. He'd be a great guide to have on their other tours offered. The tour was great. If you want more time in Kuranda and don't mind skipping the train and skyrail experience, then take a bus up with Global Travel or drive and spend a day or two. Lots to do in the 2 hours you are in Kuranda. I walked the longer trail [apprx 3 km] and went to the Koala sanctuary, with a brief walk in one of the historic markets. Thanks Stu for the commentary on the transport.
