"Informative Narration by Guide"
Three caves need a Ranger to take you while some others are self guided (but probably only for the fit and adventurous). I recommend taking all three guided tours which can easily be done in a day or split up to suit your needs. The caves are fantastic and the guides narrative is informative. Some entrances and exits are steep so reconsider if you have mobility problems

We did a day trip to the Chillagoe Caves from Cairns. It was an almost 3 hour drive and it was well worth the long drive. The drive itself was an experience for us. Real Aussie Outback. We went through all 3 guided caves with a ranger. The caves were amazing and our guide Greg was fantastic. Very informative and knowledgeable. If you have the time I would highly recommend going to Chillagoe.
